JATMA Aswaja Declaration, Caring for Spirituality and Maintaining National Integrity

In the midst of a challenging global situation, ranging from economic crisis, political turmoil, to the threat of polarization, the presence of a spiritual phase has become an important need for society.

In this spirit, the scholars of the tarekat and mursyid from various circles declared Jam'iyyah Ahlussunnah al-Mu'tabarah Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah or abbreviated as JATMA Aswaja.

This declaration took place at Kanzus Shalawat, Pekalongan, coinciding with Friday Kliwon, April 18, 2025, in front of tens of thousands of worshipers who attended the dhikr and pengajian.

JATMA Aswaja has been officially approved by the Ministry of Law through the Decree of the Minister of Law Number AHU-0001630.AH.01.07.Tahun 2025, and is led by Dr. (H.C.) Muhammad Lutfi bin Yahya (Maulana Habib Lutfi) as General Chairperson and Dr. H. Helmy Faishal Zaini as Secretary General.

Deputy Secretary General Dr. M. Hasan, accompanied by Maulana Habib Lutfi and Secretary General Helmy Faishal, read the inauguration of the organization.

In his speech, Helmy Faishal emphasized that JATMA Aswaja was built on two main pillars: strengthening the transcendental relationship with Allah and empowering the people's economy.

"In a world full of distractions, humans need a quiet space—and tariqah provides that space systematically," said Helmy.

"JATMA Aswaja invites people to return to the tradition of congregational dhikr, tariqah study, and strengthening spiritual sanad," he continued.

JATMA Aswaja is present as a moral and spiritual movement to maintain the integrity of the nation amidst the complexity of the times.

With the values ​​of Wasathiyah Islam that prioritize tawasuth (moderation), tawazun (balance), tasamuh (tolerance), and i'tidal (fairness), this organization wants to be a light amidst the darkness of extremism and socio-political polarization.
